The Brief

A platform outgrowing its own design.

By 2023, MiHCM's product line included MiHCM Enterprise, MiHCM Lite, SmartAssist, and MiA — each with its own visual language and no shared component system. In 2025 and 2026, two new AI-driven products joined the lineup — Syntra and MiA ONE — making a unified design system essential rather than optional.

Fragmented visual language

Every product page had evolved on its own — different components, different spacing, different tone. Nothing read as one platform.

Company scaling fast

New product lines — Lite, Enterprise, Syntra, MiA ONE, SmartAssist — were launching faster than the site's structure could absorb them.

Weak mobile experience

A growing share of traffic was mobile, but the layouts and interactions hadn't been designed mobile-first.

Confusing navigation

The information architecture reflected how the company was organised internally, not how customers actually shopped for HR software.

Process

From brief to a living system.

01

Content briefs

Defined the goal, audience, and key message for every page before any pixel work began.

02

Wireframes

Structure and hierarchy first — low-fidelity layouts to validate flow and content priority.

03

Design system

Nexus took shape here — tokens, components, and patterns built once, meant to be reused everywhere.

04

High-fidelity design

Every page assembled from the system, not designed from scratch.

The Design System

Nexus. Built once, used everywhere.

The real deliverable wasn't a redesigned homepage — it was a documented, reusable system. Every token, every component, every pattern was built to be inherited automatically by future pages, future products, and future campaigns, without rebuilding from scratch each time.

Nexus is still the system MiHCM's design and product teams build on today.

Homepage Evolution

Two homepages, two years apart.

The homepage has evolved twice since the original redesign — each iteration sharpening the message as MiHCM's product line and market position matured.

Earlier iteration — “Transform employee potential into exceptional performance.”

Current — “The Enterprise HR Platform, Built for Asia.”

Product Pages

The system, in two products.

Syntra and Analytics sit at opposite ends of the product suite — one an AI copilot, the other a data-dense dashboard — yet both are assembled entirely from Nexus components, down to the buttons and card patterns.

Feature Design

Making complex features legible.

Enterprise HR software carries a lot of functional depth. These bento-style feature grids on the MiHCM Enterprise page break down two of the platform's most complex areas — Talent Management and Workforce Management — into scannable, visual feature sets.

Campaign & Banner Design

Every campaign, on-brand.

Beyond the core site, the design system extended into ongoing marketing needs — seasonal campaigns, product launches, and always-on promotional banners across the homepage and product pages.

Direct traffic

Traffic grew faster than engagement depth — a natural trade-off as a platform moves from a smaller, warmer audience to a much larger one arriving cold through organic search and direct traffic. Reach came first; deepening that engagement is the next chapter.

Impact — Reach

From a local tool to a regional platform.

Active users by country — the platform now serves genuine regional markets across South and Southeast Asia.
