Designing the AI brain of MiHCM — a brand identity built for intelligence, unity, and enterprise scale. Unveiled at Connect 2025, Colombo.
The Brief
MiHCM was preparing to unveil Syntra — their AI-powered intelligence platform — at Connect 2025, their flagship annual event at Cinnamon Life, Colombo. Syntra would sit at the heart of the entire MiHCM ecosystem, synthesising data, people, and intelligence into unified, real-time insights.
The brief was clear: design a brand identity that felt intelligent, unified, and powerful — distinct enough to stand on its own, yet cohesive with the MiHCM parent brand. It had to communicate AI capability without falling into generic tech clichés.
AI-native identity
Communicate intelligence and machine cognition without leaning on tired tropes — no circuit boards, no robot faces.
Unified data flow
Syntra connects every layer of the workforce. The mark needed to embody continuity, connection, and integration.
Enterprise-grade
Built for boardrooms and product dashboards alike — polished, authoritative, and scalable across every context.
MiHCM family
Distinct enough to stand alone as Syntra, yet immediately recognisable as part of the MiHCM product ecosystem.
The Concept
The concept emerged from two universal symbols that encoded the brief itself — no trend-chasing, no decoration. Just two forms that said exactly what Syntra is.
∞
The Infinity Symbol
Representing the continuous, connected flow of data across an organisation. Syntra doesn't just process data — it connects every layer of the workforce into one unified intelligence loop. The symbol communicates exactly that: a system that never stops, never breaks, and always connects.
✦
The AI Star
A four-pointed star representing precision, intelligence, and the moment insights emerge from data. It sits at the heart of the symbol — the spark at the centre of the loop, the “aha” moment where raw data becomes meaningful intelligence.
Together, the mark communicates exactly what Syntra is: a platform that brings data, people, and intelligence into one powerful, unified whole. The wordmark follows MiHCM's established typographic style — keeping Syntra immediately recognisable as part of the MiHCM family while giving it enough distinction to stand as its own product brand.

Motion
A brand identity for an AI platform needs to move. Two animations were created — a controlled reveal and a seamless looping identity.
Web Banner Reveal
Logo reveal animation — designed for the Syntra web banner launch. The icon emerges first with particle effects, followed by the wordmark sliding in from the right.
Looping Brand Animation
Looping brand animation — reveal followed by seamless loop. Used across digital touchpoints.
Live at Connect 2025
Syntra made its public debut at MiHCM Connect 2025 — the company's flagship annual event held at the Celestine Ballroom, Cinnamon Life City of Dreams, Colombo, in October 2025. The event brought together top corporate leaders, partners, and customers across Asia. The logo appeared on the main stage screen as MiHCM Group CEO Harsha Purasinghe unveiled the platform to the audience.

Digital Presence
Beyond the logo, the Syntra identity extended to the product's digital presence — including the Syntra landing page on mihcm.com, designed in Figma. The mark holds its character across screen sizes, from the web banner to the product UI itself.
